Is travelling always a good experience?

Nowadays, people are always making trips around the world and visiting exotic places. However, they aren´t conscious of the risks this sort of voyages could have. In this essay, I will analyze the pros and cons of travelling abroad.

On the one hand, expectations may not coincide with reality.  You might be looking for a sublime and luxurious experience. However, when you arrive to your destination, it could disappoint you.  How many times have you regret of making a voyage you had planned months before?

Nevertheless, you can discover new places, cultures and lifestyles. The experience may be very rewarding, and you may also make some acquaintances and meet awesome people. You can also make contrast between one society and another.

To sum up, I would say that if you decide to travel abroad, you’re likely to have and awesome time. However, try not to make huge expectations about where you are travelling. 

LIVING UP TO 100 YEARS

Nowadays with all the scientific development and medical technologies, life expectancy is rising more than ever. One day we may have the possibility to live for 100 years. This has different pros and cons.

On the one hand, if we could have such a long life, we would be able to have more time with our friends and relatives. We could start more projects during our lifetime and meet more people. 

However, we don't know in what conditions we would live our last years. It could be able to stay alive that time only being in coma or resting in a bed. In addition, we would see many of our loved ones die in our lifetime.

To sum up, I would say it is preferable to live as much as possible, but it isn't the only thing that matters.

DOES MONEY BRING HAPPINESS?

Nowadays, we live in a very  materialistic world, where people tend to think  they must have as many things as they are able to be happy. It doesn't have to be true, and that's due to many reasons:

First of all, when you earn more and more money, you are never satisfied. Lots of people bet huge amounts of money thinking they're going to become rich, and they lose it all gambling. They were once lucky but they finally ruinned themselves.

Moreover, when you give too much importance to many, you forget other things which are also very important, such as friendship or effort. You stop spending time with your relatives and friends, just to keep working to earn money.

To sum up, we need money to live and guarantee us the basics (food, home, clothes). Nevertheless, we shouldn't make money the most important goal in our lives, since there are more important things such as family and friends.

Should teenagers decide about their own future?

Nowadays, children are very influenced by their parents, because, due to the TV and the videogames where everything is already done for them; they aren't able to think by themselves. From my point of view, they should learn to take their own decisions.

Firstly, when they are of legal age, they have to decide the degree they´re going to study and, as it is a decision it's going to affect them in their whole life, it must be their choice. Children are used to take their parents as a reference, even in their own vocation.

Moreover, if they haven't built their own judgment, youngsters can be easily manipulated by the media or other people in the moment of taking political decisions.

To sum up, it’s very important to have the ability to make a choice. However, you can be once guided by your relatives or listen another opinion.

ARE YOU FOR OR AGAINST TEAM SPORTS?

Sport has been played since the Greeks, increasing day by day its importance in human life. It has also been practiced in some different ways but they could be summarized in two kinds of sport: team ones, and individual ones. Nowadays, when sports are played by the majority of the population, the question about what kind of sport is better, rises up.

On the one hand, team sports foment cooperation between players, because they make them interact to design a played. That’s what happens in football when it is carried out a free kick and the footballers refer to a play they have been practicing in the training. Another advantage of team sports is they permit you socialize rather than individual ones.

However, when you play team sport you do not depend of yourself because you take part in a group. Besides, as team sport can improve cooperation, it can destroy it because of the competitive state you are in when you play.

In conclusion, I believe both team and individual sports are good. The goal is to do some exercise and have fun.

 

STUDYING ABROAD

Lots of people around the world are right now going abroad to study. That´s an option that a lot of students are choosing, in order to improve their academical levels.  Nevertheless, some people use it to increase their knowledge about how to live without being spoon fed.  So I agree with this new style of education.

First of all, travelling abroad is a great idea in order to improve the knowledge of languages which is right now a vehicle to move from one country to another looking for a job.

In addition, it helps you to set a lot of relationships with people of foreign countries. Living abroad makes you more tolerant because you need to adapt your habits to other cultures, trying to respect them as you would want yourself to be.

To sum up, studying abroad makes you more mature and it´s also a great experience that you will remember your whole life.

AN AMAZING PLACE

Madrid is such an amazing place. It is located right in the centre of Spain. All of us have been there at least once and that's why it is well-known. Madrid is one of the biggest cities in Europe where you can find lots of sights and museums to visit. We are writing this essay in order to show you the main monuments you can see.

Talking about monuments, la Puerta de Alcalá is one most historical places in Madrid which was one of the five old royal gates that let the foreigners access into the city. Nearby, you can find Buen Retiro Park which lets you breathe the atmosphere of a typical Madrilenian morning. Then, you can go shopping in Preciados Street or in Corte Inglés which is located in Serrano Street.

There are lots of other things you can do in downtown, such as going to the Main Square and having a relaxing cup of coffee with milk while you can watch concerts and shows in San Isidro's festival.

All in all, Madrid is a destination you shouldn't miss, because there are lots of sights and places which are worth seeing.
